Performing Arts Camp

July 15th - July 27th

Wooden Hut

The Mission

For the past 15 years, the Festival's successful Performing Arts Camp has recognized the importance of student involvement in the arts.

We are dedicated to bringing a comprehensive experience to young artists by introducing them to a variety of performing arts disciplines taught by world renowned creators and educators. Tuition for PACE is underwritten 100% by the Festival thanks to the generosity of our donors

The Experience

Over the course of these two weeks the young artists will grow in the mediums of acting, singing, dancing and virtual media. The entire experience will culminate in the Young Artists Showcase: THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS and a performance with Broadway Artists and the Festival's own POCONO POPS ORCHESTRA!

Each day begins with a group vocal warm up and ensemble rehearsal where the young artists will learn how to sing together in harmony. After creating some musical magic the students will split up into small groups and rotate through the following classes throughout the day...

  • Vocal Coaching

    • The young artists will work on their voice and acting skills in the interpretation of the musical theatre song

  • Musical Theatre Dance

    • No matter the skill level, young artists will work on expanding their dance skills, knowledge and vocabulary

  • Acting

    • Work on audition skills and your monologues

  • Audio Visual Self Expression

    • Young artists will create a musical piece through songwriting, camera work and editing

Each day will close with a group rehearsal preparing for the two Festival performances!
